Kalich, Bertha Rachel
- (1875-1939)American actress. She was born in Poland and settled in New York in 1895. In her youth she appeared at the Bucharest National Theatre. After emigrating to the US she became the first Yiddish speaking actress to be recognized in the English-language theatre; she also appeared in Yiddish repertory.
